Seasoned professionals with specialized knowledge in the medical field
We have the right experts for every event. As highly specialised interpreters, we not only speak the target language, we are also experts in the field of medicine. This means that we are familiar with medical vocabulary and constantly undergo further training to ensure that we are always up to date with the latest research. We work with glossaries that we update on an ongoing basis. This enables us to guarantee that we translate technical terms and content accurately. We pay attention to detail and content accuracy.
Simultaneous or consecutive interpreting - what are the differences?
Simultaneous interpreting
During simultaneous interpreting, the participants are given headphones. This allows them to hear the specialist interpreters' translation. The interpreters translate what the speaker is saying almost at the same time and in parallel. Meanwhile, the speaker continues to speak in the source language. We recommend this type of interpreting above all for congresses or conferences. Incidentally, this is also the most challenging way to translate. Because listening, translating the source language into the target language and pronouncing it clearly all at the same time requires maximum concentration.
Consecutive interpreting
If you would like to have short speeches or discussions interpreted, we recommend consecutive interpreting. This involves us being close to the speaker, taking notes while they are speaking and then interpreting what they have said into the target language. In the medical field, consecutive interpreting is mainly used in conversations between patients and doctors or during business negotiations.
